Vintage Wah Ming Chang Bronze Originals of California Box with Lid and Matching Plate
Box is approximately 4 1/2" long, 3 1/2" wide and 1 5/8" deep.  The lid is
approximately
4 7/8" long and 3 7/8" wide.  Plate is just under 7" x 7".  May have been designed as a
cigar/cigarette case with matching ashtray.
Wah Ming Chang (1917-2003) was a Chinese American designer, sculptor, and artist.  He was
known primarily for his sculpture and design on props used in the original Star Trek series, including
the tricorder and communicator.
Donated Wah Ming Chang designed pieces for Bronze Originals of California marked with his signature
horse.  These include a bronze box
with lid, and matching plate.  All three items have surface wear with some
coating loss and green patina
from aging.  Please examine photos.  Sold "AS IS".
