Description

OPTIMOD-FM Orban Broadcast Stereo Processor.
This stereo processor was a big break-thru during the 1970's to boost modulation in FM transmitters and give better stereo audio separation during the discovery days of FM broadcast.
This particular unit turns on and processes audio, as you can see in one of the pictures. Audio passes thru L+R channels. You can see the 'scope in the background.
The problem in this unit is the magic part of it's process to generate the composite signal that will modulate the transmitter with the 19khz pilot and the L+R signal of the 38khz. I do not have the experience or really fancy test equipment to trouble-shoot the problem in the multiplex part of this unit.
Schematics and service manual and some shotgun shells (spare parts) included.
So it's sold for parts. There were many techs out here who have the knowledge to fix and align this equipment.
SOLD AS-IS only partially operating. Multiplex section needs alignment and repair.
